We pride ourselves on 83% of the team being qualified to level 3 or higher, some being degree level.
The team behind Wren Day Nursery
Aimie joined Wren in 2016 and is now the Manager of the nursery and our Lead DSL.
Aimie loves board games and adores her two cats at home.
Anne Marie joined Wren in 2016 and has experience working across all age groups. Anne Marie has 2 boys that both attended Wren and she is a DJ in her spare time.
Bon first joined Wren in 2005 and is now our Junior Room Leader. Bon has grown up twin girls and experience of working within all the rooms here at Wren.
Bon loves spending time with her friends and family and her dog Raymond.
Cat joined Wren in 2016 and has experience working with all age groups at nursery and is now based in Preschool. Cat loves sushi and seeing her friends outside of work.
Catherine joined Wren in 2020 and after completed her NVQ3 Catherine is now our Pre School Room Leader.
Catherine has two boys and loves spending time at home with them and her two dogs.
Charlotte joined Wren in 2019 not long after completing her childcare qualifcations. After working in our Baby room for 5 years, Charlotte is now the Deputy of our Toddler room. Charlotte's favourite animal is a Panda and she loves going on ghost hunts!
Emma originally joined Wren in 2018 and predomiantly works with our 2 year old Toddlers. Emma has her own son who keeps her busy when she isn't at Wren and loves family days out.
Katie is our Deputy Manager, DSL and Curriculum lead. Katie joined Wren in 2016 and loves reading and going on adventures with her daughter and husband.
Keri joined Wren in 2023 and has many years of experience working and volunteering in Early Years, Keri is also a mother to her own teenagers with whom she adores spending time with outside of work.
Kirsty joined the team in 2020 and works with our Toddlers and Juniors. Kirsty adores dogs and loves collecting perfumes, buying new trainers and listening to music.
Nicola joined Wren in 2021 and is our Baby Room Leader. Nicola has two girls of her own and enjoys spending time with them when not busy at nursery.
Noori joined in Wren in early 2022 and her two children attended Wren before leaving for school. Noori loves nothing more than spending time with family and close friends outside of work and is currently completing her NVQ3.
The owner of Wren, Penny has been working with the children here for over 30 years. Penny loves cooking and taking her dog Luna on lovely walks as well as caravanning with her husband Phil.
Precious joined Wren in early 2022 and is currently completing her NVQ3. Precious is already a qualifed teacher in her home country of Zimbabwe. Precious enjoys spending time with her family and little boy.
Sade joined Wren in 2020 and is our SENDCO assistant at nursery. Sade loves reading and live music.
Sam joined Wren in 2013 and is the SENDO lead and DSL for the nursery. Sam loves spending time with her two grandchildren when she isnt planning fun activites in Preschool.
Thea joined Wren in 2016 working in the office as our HR/ Office manager. Both of Thea's children attended Wren, Thea loves walks with her dog Wesley and a good curry.
Safeguarding and First Aid as a priority
We prioritise children’s safety and therefore ensure all of our staff team hold a clear, enhanced DBS certificate. Three of our team are DSL trained and 100% of staff have appropriate safeguarding training which is regularly updated.
We have worked hard to ensure 90% of our staff team are Paediatric First Aid Qualified and are proud to say we fundraised to provide our own defibrillator.
Two of our team are qualified in Special Educational Needs with two also qualified in Time to Talk.
Children are happy and settled at nursery.
Following our Ofsted inspection in January 2023, we are really pleased to announce we have received an overall Good rating at Wren Day Nursery
